Katie McCarthy
Senior Consultant
Katie joined Halloran Consulting Group in 2011. With over 14 years of drug development experience, she focuses on Clinical Operations, Program Management, and Alliance Management. Katie has expertise leading early- and late-stage cross-functional drug development programs, directing clinical trial management teams and activities for all phases of clinical trials, and creating collaborative and successful alliances with partners.
At Halloran, Katie has led and contributed to gap analyses, audits, and process improvement initiatives. She has led multiple clinical development programs, partnering with clients on programs that are in transition from research to development, and on programs that are progressing through the development process in mid- and late-stage trials. She also provides on-demand senior management-level expertise to complement development teams and capabilities.
Prior to joining Halloran, Katie held a series of progressive positions with Biogen Idec. Most recently, she was Associate Director, Program and Alliance Management where she drove program strategy and execution for development programs in Neurology. Before this role, Katie was appointed as Senior Manager, Medical Research Organizational Effectiveness and Chief of Staff to the SVP of Medical Research. Katie also spent six years in Clinical Operations as a line manager and Project Manager. Prior to joining Biogen Idec, Katie was a Clinical Research Coordinator at Massachusetts General Hospital.
Katie earned a B.A. in Psychology from Saint Michael's College and is currently pursuging certification in Change Management.
